The Tinoco Story

Starting in the trenches

Our President did not begin his career in safety. He began in the trenches. As a matter of fact, his first week on the job right out of high school, he was helping lay 48” reenforced concrete pipe for storm drain on a 60-million-dollar water reclamation facility in Gainesville Georgia. It was August 2004 and despite the challenges of working in the elements and the physical nature of the job, he fell in love with construction. He went on to work as a form carpenter and years later he was asked to join the safety team along with his older brother on a 250-million-dollar project in Lilburn Georgia. Seventeen years later he continues to help construction companies operate safer and stay productive at the same time. He holds STSC and CHST certifications from the BCSP and is an Authorized OSHA Trainer. He now resides in NY but travels as needed to fill client needs.

His two brothers are also Safety Professionals in construction. Sinue Tinoco is widely known in the Southeast as a passionate, knowledgeable, and caring safety professional. If you have ever met him on a job, then you most likely will never forget him, especially if you were present at one of his safety meetings. He has over 20 years of experience and has managed safety on some of the largest construction projects across the US and even in Mexico. He holds multiple certifications from the BCSP and is an Authorized OSHA Trainer. He is currently working on a large construction project in NY and supports our mission as a consultant.

Allan Tinoco is the youngest of the three brothers and has quickly gained much experience managing safety on multiple projects. He works for one of the largest General Contractors in the Southeast and supports our mission as a consultant. He holds an STS certification from the BCSP and is an Authorized OSHA Trainer.

Why Us?

When you hire us, you’re hiring a human being/ team who understands humans; specifically, how construction workers think and make choices. All our team comes from the construction industry and has a background of working in the trenches. We understand the challenges that companies face of balancing productivity and safety. We understand the challenges workers face of balancing getting the work done and making safe choices. We understand. However, we will continue to work with you to understand further what your specific challenges are and from there create a roadmap to increase your safety performance.

Our Mission?

We have worked with different companies through the years and have realized one thing. Anyone can point out hazards and make recommendations on how to fix them. Most construction workers know what they should and should not be doing. The challenge is getting them from knowing it to applying that knowledge in the choices that they make. It’s all about choices. Our mission is to educate, motivate and inspire workers to make safe choices through relationship building, coaching and quality training.

How do we do it?

We don’t just share information and data. We convert that information into a truly powerful message that becomes personal, important, and relevant to workers. Our biggest success has been in regular micro learning sessions where workers will stop work at a previously coordinated time and listen to a live 15-30 minute presentation on a topic. The topics cover safety, leadership, choice making, human performance principles and much much more. We are creating new topics every month so you’ll always have a fresh message that resonates with your workers.

Benefits of Micro Learning

It is a widely accepted fact that humans learn better in small spurts than in longer sessions.

Other benefits:

  • Less loss of productivity and interruption of workday.
  • Workers will learn and retain valuable information.
  • Avoid the additional costs associated with traditional classroom sessions.
  • First Micro Learning session is free.
  • No limit to how many workers are present at the time of the session.
  • Job site safety meeting style which your workers are familiar and comfortable with.
  • If you want to provide lunch for your team, this is a great time to do it.
  • We track all the trainings that your workers have completed for you and make it available to you at your request.
